Who we are

We are I’m-Able Foundation—a movement driven by compassion, inclusion, and the unwavering belief that every individual deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of physical ability.

Founded in Tanzania and inspired by real stories of resilience, we are a team of changemakers, advocates, and volunteers united by a shared mission: to break down barriers and open doors for individuals with disabilities.

Through education, empowerment, and community support, we are creating a future where ability is never a limitation.

Our Vision

An inclusive society where people with disabilities access education, opportunities, and support to live empowered and dignified lives.

Our Mission

To empower people with disabilities in Tanzania through education, advocacy, and inclusive programs that open doors to independence and equity.

Our Objectives

To expand access to education, raise disability awareness, support inclusive policies, and empower individuals with disabilities to live independently.

Our Core Values

Empowerment

We are committed to empowering individuals to recognize their strengths and unlock their full capabilities.

Inclusion

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive society where every person is seen, valued, and empowered.

Compassion

Charity law within the UK varies among England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, but the fundamental principles are the same.

Our Funding Strategy

To sustain and grow our impact, I’m-Able Foundation relies on a diverse funding approach that includes individual donations, corporate partnerships, grant applications, and community fundraising events.

We actively engage with local and international supporters, leveraging social media and crowdfunding platforms to reach a wider audience. By building strong relationships with donors, institutions, and sponsors, we aim to ensure long-term support for our programs and the individuals we serve.

Our History

Founded in 2023 by Sonia George, I’m-Able Foundation was born from a deep personal commitment to challenge the exclusion faced by people with disabilities in Tanzania.

Moved by the story of a student who lost both mobility and family in an accident, Sonia turned her passion for education and inclusion into action. What began as a small initiative has grown into a foundation focused on accessibility, empowerment, and lasting change.
